The minimal baby gear we own & love

Here is a (nearly) complete list of the products we own and use all the time! With so many fancy baby products on the market it can be so overwhelming selecting what will be best your your family. We spent a lot of time researching items that work best with our lifestyle, goals, and aimed to keep things minimal and sustainable. Apartment living with with a little one has meant our focus leans heavily toward light, compact, and easily stored baby gear. With all that in mind, we have only listed and recommend products we have truly used and enjoyed!

Cannot recommend this stroller enough, especially for frequent travelers or city folk! It folds up super tiny and only weighs 13lbs. It can also fit down the aisle of an airplane and in overhead compartments. We use this stroller EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. Friends and strangers alike watch with amazement every time we open or close it with one hand! It has truly been a heaven send for our walk up apartment living! Worth every single penny. 10/10.

We also purchased the newborn pack (see below) along with the car seat adapters for our Nuna so we could use the stroller before baby could sit up. Looking back on the infant days, we’re happy that we had both! Because we do a lot of walking in the city rather than driving, we were able to utilize the newborn pack a lot. It’s much lighter than carrying the stroller and the car seat down the stairs for a walk, folds right up with the stroller, and it also served as a great spot to change diapers on the go. However, if you live in an area thats a bit more suburban, you might be able to go without it and just use the car seat. The combination of both worked best for our lifestyle!

BabyZen Yoyo2 Stroller

Sustainably made and a big hit for the first 10 months. We loved their play kits too! The toys are well built and come with play guides based on child development as well.

Lovevery Play GYm

Use these to attach our Nuna car seat to the stroller.

Yoyo Car Seat Adapters

To use before baby can sit up (0-6m). Or you can connect the car seat with the clips. We have use both set ups.

Yoy02 Newborn pack

Fits perfect for our apartment living and folds up to store easily when baby-stage is over!

Babyletto Origami MIni Crib

Grows with baby all the way to regular seating.

Stokke Tripp Trapp

We did have one of these for a while, but as soon as food was introduced it was essential. You will know when it’s time!

Ubbi Diaper Pail

Another 10/10 recommendation here. LOVE this travel crib. It’s super compact and can be worn as a backpack. We fly with it in the overhead compartment on trips.

Guava Baby Travel Crib

Super light and sleek. The base is really easy to clip in and out of.

nuna pipa rx

Beautifully handmade by women in Ghana. This is less of a ‘minimal’ piece and more of an aesthetic splurge for us, but it worked great for those early days and made our space look pretty.

Design Dua Bassinet

Used this a lot from 4 - 9 months. Make sure to keep the box — it breaks down for easy storage!

Skip Hop Activity Center

We have a lot of these. Love them. Perfect for the diaper bag, on top the mattress overnight.

Gathre Changing Mat
Design Dua Changing Basket

This tub is collapsable and has a hook to hang when not in use. Perfect small space solution or easy storage after baby grows out of it!

OXO tot tub

A must have. You’ll thank us later.
