Glacier National Park

Having time off between jobs is always a fun thing. We were so grateful to be able to travel to Montana during this time to reconnect with family and enjoy some incredible landscapes. Because our family lives in Minnesota and we have been out of the state for the past couple years, the times where we can get the whole family together at one time have been a bit limited. It absolutely filled our hearts to have my side of the family together in one place again!

It was our first time in Montana as well as to Glacier National Park. You guys, the views here are absolutely amazing! One of our favorite parts of the park was the Going-to-the-sun-road. It is a two lane mountainous highway just under 50 miles long that runs from one side of the park to the other. Driving on the road feels like you are capturing some of the best sights of the area without needing to hike miles onto the trails. Of course, we did a few hikes as well.

We spent 5 days camping with my family before they left The rest of the week, Matt and I camped in the park and drove the road a couple more times. It was crazy the new things we saw each time we drove the highway.

If you ever get the chance to visit, we think this park is one of our favorites thus far! We were able to see lots of wildlife, including a black bear and a grizzly bear (at a safe distance, thankfully.) Each time we visit places like this, I find that it cements my belief in our creator; that he has designed us and our world so beautifully and constantly changing.

We have a huge responsibility to be good stewards of this life, this earth, and the people in it. For us, that means making little steps to recycle more, reduce our energy usage, shop locally, and waste less. It has challenged us to cherish the simple things and be grateful for them. How can you change your lifestyle to better protect our earth and the people in it? Maybe it is bringing reusable bags to the grocery store, wasting less food, slowing down on the highway or turning the thermostat down a few degrees. Little changes matter, your changes matter - we are all in this together!
