Showing Our Family Around San Francisco

It has been quite the busy March so far between having guest in town and prepping for our trip to Europe at the end of the month. We were so excited to have the chance to host family for a visit over the last couple weeks in San Francisco. When we lived in Miami, we definitely had our “visitor itinerary” down pretty well. Now that we have moved to a new city, we are still perfecting our must-do things when we have visitors!

We feel very grateful to live in San Francisco. It is a city admired by people all over the world, and there are honestly so many things to see here! The longer we are here, the more we realize how many things this city and the surrounding Bay Area has to offer. There is truly something here for everyone!

One of our favorite parts about the city is the nature. You’ll find there are places for hiking, biking, running and exploring in the many parks, gardens and coastline within the city limits and beyond. It’s the reason living in San Francisco is so appealing for us, it’s incredibly easy to find an “escape” from the hustle and bustle and recharge in the great outdoors.

Walking around to city, in our opinion, is one of the best ways to experience it fully - we did a lot of this while our family was here. Some of the places we explored were:

The Presidio (a national park and also where Matt’s clinic is located), Golden Gate Park, Westfield Mall, Powell Street, Union Square, The Embarcadero, Ferry Building, China Town, North Beach, Coit Tower, Mission District, Japan Center, Lombard Street, Lyon Street Steps, Castro District, Ocean Beach, Sutro Baths, Marin Headlands, John Muir Woods, Big Basin Redwoods National Park, Golden Gate Bridge, and of course our own neighborhood - Lower Haight!

This week was full of exploring, hiking, laughing, early mornings, late nights, new experiences, and LOTS of memory making! Here are just a few iPhone shots from our staycation with family in San Francisco.
