Our Favorite Baby Products For 0-3 Months

When I first got pregnant and started looking at baby products I got so overwhelmed! There were so many blogs that were recommending way too many or seemingly unnecessary products. I am not a fan of clutter and thinking about all these baby items in my home made me feel anxious. I decided to take a more minimal approach and prioritize quality when purchasing items for our little one. Realistically, babies don’t need much for the first few months of life - just a safe place to sleep, food, diapers, and loving parents!

With that said, here are the baby products we love and have used the most during Harper’s first 3 months of life. None of these exact items are technically necessities, but are the products we have found ourselves using almost daily. We aren’t sponsored by any of these companies, these products are truly ones we use over and over again!

Solly Baby Wrap

The Solly Wrap is by far the item I use most. It has come in clutch more times than I can count and we joke it is our baby’s kryptonite. When she’s fussy, refuses to go down for a nap, or just wants to be snuggled but I also need some hands free time — this wrap is amazing! This will forever be the item I purchase for my pregnant friends.

Gathre Changing Mat

I am sure there are other changing mats out there that do the same thing, but we love our Gathre mats (we have 3 of them). We keep one in the diaper bag, one in the changing basket, and one in the bedside diaper caddy. I throw it down on our bed after nursing overnight for a quick diaper change and fold it right back up. It is made of leather, looks cute, is easy to wipe down, and folds up nice and compact. We are fans.

Snuggle Me Organic

Harper spent a lot of time napping and lounging in her Snuggle Me Organic during the first couple months. I love how it hugs her and makes her feel cozy! It also gives us a safe place to set her down when we need to step away.

DesignDua Bassinet & Changing Basket

Again, I am sure there are plenty of other bassinets and changing baskets out there. If aesthetics matter to you, this bassinet is a super cute buy. Plus, the company has a great mission worth supporting. The baskets are handmade by artisens in Ghana. DesignDua has formed a collective that helps to ensure fair market pay, employment benefits and training for these weavers.

Babyzen Yoyo Stroller

We live in a 4th floor walk up apartment in San Francisco (AKA NO ELEVATOR). This stroller has been the best because it is one of the lightest and most compact on the market! Once folded, there is a shoulder strap to carry. Did I mention it’s only 13 lbs?! Gosh, this thing makes my life so much easier. A must have for any city parent!

Phillips bottle warmer

For the first couple weeks, we warmed Harper’s bottles in a jar of warm water. The problem with that was it took a long time. Being that she only takes one bottle a day from her papa at this point, it wasn’t a complete necessity. We decided to go for it anyway and it is so nice! Definitely a helpful luxury for right now but will also come in handy when I go back to work.

Lovevery play gym

I can’t say enough good things about this play gym. Firstly, Harper is enthused by it! I love that it comes with a little direction for play based on the child’s developmental stage and is made by child development experts! The montessori style makes this play gym not overstimulating for baby and also looks pretty enough to be out and blend in with our decor (a definite plus for me!).

Hatch sound machine

This sound machine has been super helpful, especially to drowned out general city noise. Even if Harper would sleep without it, Matt and I have enjoyed having it in our room since even before she was born. The soft nightlight is perfect for when I nurse and change Harper overnight. The Hatch also has automated programs that can be used later on to help kiddos learn when it is time to get up in the morning or be set up for a bedtime routine.
